At Meir Heath Academy, the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) initiative has transformed our lunchtimes, creating more inclusive, engaging, and imaginative play opportunities for all children. With a variety of resources and spaces to explore, children are developing key social skills, creativity, and independence while having fun. One child summed it up perfectly, saying, “Lunchtimes are even better now we have OPAL play!”
